WELCOME ABOARD! Join Captain Nyorissa Kel and the Kentucky Browncoats for a night of food and decadent frivolity. There's been a theft and the Captain needs your help to suss out the problem. You can sit back and watch the crew play out the mystery or you can listen for cues and follow along with scripted interference, participation is at your own comfort level!Everyone aboard will get to pick their own meal from a sumptuous four-course menu ahead of time; ticket holders will be sent confirmation and a menu to select from upon ticket purchase. The Kentucky Browncoats are a little fandom with a big heart that belongs to the Firefly TV show – a sadly short-lived space-western series created by Joss Whedon and it’s followup movie, Serenity – both starring Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. Based in Berea, KY, the Kentucky Browncoats holding monthly 10.00 bowling and pizza gatherings in Richmond, and show the follow-up movie, Serenity, annually for charity at the Kentucky Theater. Their 3rd annual showing of SERENITY is July 19th, 2018 with 100% of the proceeds going to charity.Captain Nyorissa Kel is the Browncoat persona of illustrator, author, and designer, Ana Maria Selvaggio. More well known as Renmeleon online, Selvaggio considers Berea her new hometown. She works to further Kentucky-based charities through a series of movie events produced out of the Kentucky Theater in Lexington, KY called "Watch Movies. Do Good.(TM)" and will be back with a new lineup of cult classic / pop culture movies in 2019. Selvaggio holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Screenwriting) from Full Sail University and is writing a custom scripted experience with 64 custom characters for this event. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? - Passengers must be over the age of five (5) years old.- Anyone under the age of 18 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking is available on-site at the event. What can I bring into the event? - You will need to bring your ticket - either the printed one sent to you or a printed copy of the digital ticket you received depending on which package you purchased.- Costumes and cosplay are optional, but without props. Prop weapons will not be allowed and you will be asked to leave them in your car. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? As we are required to purchase all 64 seats on the passenger car, refunds will not be offered after August 1st to allow time to find replacements. If contacted in writing with a request, we will refund 100% minus any fees incurred back to the purchaser prior to August 1st. Refunds will not be given after August 1st as it would risk cancellation of the event. Please spread the word far and wide across the ‘verse.
