Searching for Wisdom: Philosophy's Conversations About Ourselves & Our World Short Course
Philosophy, commonly defined by its Ancient Greek roots as a “love of wisdom,” is one of the oldest and most fundamental traditions of human inquiry. In this short course, Dr. Leigh Viner (Indiana University Southeast) will explore a variety of philosophical themes, drawing on both Western and Eastern traditions. Our investigations will cover questions regarding human nature and our place in the world, the nature of moral goodness, art and beauty, the nature of reality, knowledge and personal identity, and the relationship between mind and body.
The course is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Call (502) 574-1623 to reserve your spot.
